getting happy: photos of energy on the beach

If you are feeling limp, lacking in energy and listless then look to dealing with it by adopting some or all of the methods below:

Get better sleep

Now you may not be getting enough sleep through the heat, your baby/child or worry but we all know that getting a minimum of 7 hours/night is about right for most adults.  Sleep is the time to heal and refresh and reboot.  If you feel that your sleep isn’t doing that for you have you looked at why that might be?

Well, there is increasing evidence that mobiles and laptops in the sleeping space is disrupting for our sleep patterns.  Have a read of this.

I have found that teens find it particularly hard to switch off at night and will sleep with their mobile under their pillow.  The smartphone ‘addiction’ is one which can also see us staying up later than we should – checking in on social media – and then picking our phones up the moment our eyes open.

Get the mobiles and laptops out of your bedroom.  See what difference it makes.

Drink more

drink more water better healthThis advice is always good advice.  Being even a little dehydrated affects our concentration, our hunger perception, our digestive systems.  Have a read here.

Are you surprised by some of those consequences?  If drinking water doesn’t come naturally, remember that, particularly in the summer, lots of water rich fruits are around.

Eat well

allotment strawbsEat watermelons, tomatoes, cucumber and raspberries to keep yourself hydrated.  Buy organic if you can.  This is particularly important if your low energy is the result of recovery from illness.

We have an allotment — this is just one pic of the abundance we enjoy there:

There is a list of the ‘dirty dozen‘ – foods which are saturated in toxic pesticides and preservatives.

These suggestions may seem obvious.  But sometimes when solutions/aids are obvious we overlook them.  You may need more help than these three basic steps can provide and that’s when you might want to consider homeopathy.

If your low energy is more of a general nature, you could book a free 30 minute chat with me or an appointment by clicking on the link here .

Where do you live?

I love living in Bristol.  There’s lots of energy and vibrancy here.  People are friendly and approachable and that makes living in a city – especially in the centre – really enjoyable.

Wherever you are, perhaps you are looking for ways to bring health and wellbeing into your life?

How can you do that?

You’re welcome to visit my clinic here, but many of my clients are from elsewhere — they choose to Skype with me instead.

What do we talk about in a consultation?

We talk about what’s bothering you, what’s taking your energy and attention  and how you can make life better using homeopathy and introducing small changes to create big effects.

My blogs are a way into to talking about bringing simple healthy habits into your daily life.  Whether that’s walking more, being less distracted, healthy recipes or thought provoking (I hope!) things which interest me.

Curious?  Call me!  A 30 min chat on the phone!  No pressure, no cost, and you can ask all the questions you have about homeopathy and healthy living.   Book your call here >
