stressed, desperate

All of us would admit to a degree of stress in our lives.  Is it a killer or cure for you? Let’s look at both sides:

For some of us, the flooding of our systems with the stress hormone, cortisol, has a massive impact.  Whether it’s poor digestion, broken sleep, irregular periods, recurring headaches, diarrohea, breakouts on our skin, or drinking/smoking too much.  The word alone can mean so many different things to different people – often it’s a really negative word.

People sometimes ask me what homeopathy can do for stress.  Obviously homeopathy can’t make your boss behave fairly, can’t make your train commute less crowded, can’t make your workload disappear.

But what homeopathy can do is change your response to your stress.  In the same way that your response to pollen can be rebalanced through homeopathy so that you’re no longer struggling with hayfever.  It’s not the pollen which has changed.  It’s your response.

For others of us, stress is what keeps us going.  It’s what motivates us to keep moving.  It’s what gets us out of bed in the morning and without it as a driving force we are lost.  The picture of continuous activity being what drives us is a common one.

We can’t see a downside to it as long as it does not create any symptoms. But we do want to keep an eye on our ‘hidden symptoms’ — they usually are better referred to as ‘ignored symptoms‘. That’s because sometimes we get so accustomed to them being there, that just like a soft background noise, we start to accept it as a part of life.

But when we start to review ourselves, we might find ways to better handle the stress that is a normal part of daily life.

Homeopathy helps!

Homeopathy can bring balance to anyone struggling with their symptoms of stress, or even improve your ability to manage the daily level we all face.  Homeopathy is individualised and personalised.  It’s your particular pattern of symptoms which we’re looking at.  Because of that what is prescribed for you will likely be different from the next person struggling with stress – their pattern of symptoms is not likely to be the same as yours.  And therein lies the strength of homeopathy.

I will say though that there exists such as thing as ‘maintaining causes’ – things which can’t change easily.  For example, having symptoms from sleeping in a damp room cannot be completely turned around if you continue to sleep in said room.

Where do you live?

I love living in Bristol.  There’s lots of energy and vibrancy here.  People are friendly and approachable and that makes living in a city – especially in the centre – really enjoyable.

Wherever you are, perhaps you are looking for ways to bring health and wellbeing into your life?

How can you do that?

You’re welcome to visit my clinic here, but many of my clients are from elsewhere — they choose to Skype with me instead.

What do we talk about in a consultation?

We talk about what’s bothering you, what’s taking your energy and attention  and how you can make life better using homeopathy and introducing small changes to create big effects.

My blogs are a way into to talking about bringing simple healthy habits into your daily life.  Whether that’s walking more, being less distracted, healthy recipes or thought provoking (I hope!) things which interest me.

Curious?  Call me!  A 30 min chat on the phone!  No pressure, no cost, and you can ask all the questions you have about homeopathy and healthy living.   Book your call here >
