First of all, have a look at my vlog here.
In case you’re still not sure why follow up appointments are key, here are some answers:
You don’t feel the remedies have changed anything.
With the conventional medicine model I think lots of us expect immediate results. In every way in our fast-paced world we expect to not wait for anything. Homeopathy is about long term results – not a sticking plaster which will mask the symptoms only for them to return the moment you stop medication. In using homeopathy we are looking to provide the minimum dose for the minimum duration.
Sometimes we forget just how much difficulty we were experiencing before the remedies. That’s human nature. So, it’s not surprising you might feel disappointed that you don’t feel things have changed for you.
Sometimes the layers of repeated medications need to be ‘broken through’ before healing can take place. It varies between individuals how long it will take for the body to assert itself and take on the challenge of good health.
The remedies may have helped more than you think. Follow up appointments allow us to hold up a mirror to the descriptions of what brought you to me in the first place.
The follow up appointment also give me the opportunity to fine tune the remedy prescription and individualise it further.
The remedies have made matters worse.
That does sometimes happen. Most commonly with skin issues. And it’s one of the reasons why a follow up appointment is key but also why I make myself available – and actively encourage – contact between appointments. That exchange of information is important because
- maintaining contact ensures I can better assist you
- further tweaking of the remedy may be required and you can get advice on that by coming to the follow up appointment. It may be necessary to simply take the remedy in water to make the effect milder.
- it may be that after a period of repeat suppressive medication (often the case with skin issues), the skin over-reacts and can look worse.
I am all cured !
This does happen. Mostly with children as their energy is stronger and their complaints are less likely to be buried under layers. But also with adults.
When this does happen, to ensure continued wellbeing, a follow up prescription can see you on the path to long term, sustained good health.
If you would like to discuss with me further why follow up appointments are key, set up a free, ‘no strings’ 30 min chat. We can talk it all through then.
